This venture, spearheaded by Wates on behalf of Leeds City Council, demanded a meticulous approach to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Our design service, a cornerstone of this collaboration, meticulously crafted detailed System Overview documents and tailored design drawings for each distinct property type. Each system design was rigorously certified to meet the stringent requirements of BS 5839-6, reflecting our commitment to delivering solutions of the highest quality.
As an integral component of our comprehensive service, SES Engineering Services received a British Standard compliant installation checklist. This tool, coupled with a systematic method for certifying each installation's compliance with BS 5839-6, demonstrated our dedication to facilitating a seamless and regulatory-compliant process.
Post-installation, SES Engineering Services entrusted Rely on Fire Check with the critical task of commissioning and certifying each system. Our team executed thorough testing of all automatic fire detection components, utilising manufacturer-approved test equipment specifically designed for Grade D fire detection and fire alarm systems.
In addition to technical validation, Rely on Fire Check went beyond the conventional scope by providing compliance labelling and a Home Occupiers Guide. This comprehensive guide equips occupants with essential information, ensuring they have the knowledge to adhere to the requirements of BS 5839-6. This end-to-end solution not only guarantees compliance but also instills confidence in the occupants of the residences constructed by Wates, assuring them that the fire system within their homes will function as intended, should the need arise.
