Course Information

On this course, delegates will develop knowledge from the Base Knowledge and Work Activity Modules and apply this to the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems within new build and existing Purpose-Built Blocks of Flats, Houses Converted to Flats and Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMO). This course provides an understanding of the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems within Blocks of Flats and HMOs to BS5839-1, BS5839-6, Building Regulations Approved Document B Parts 1 & 2, Local Government Association Document: Fire Safety in Purpose Built Blocks of Flats, LACoRS Housing Fire Safety Guide and other Codes of Practice.
